Our Sacramento Martial Arts Academy has grown a lot. Last Saturday, December 5th we celebrated the realization of hard work in the form of belt promotions. People often ask, what the difference between Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and other martial arts is. Well, one of the most readily available differences to note is how, generally speaking, difficult it is to attain rank in BJJ. But, on the bright side, it’s what makes getting promoted in BJJ feel like such an accomplishment each time. To say it’s rewarding, is an understatement. The majority of members have stated that they place it right up there with the top experiences of their lives. People who have become doctors, lawyers, professors, etc. will rank something they do for recreation as one of the most significant things they’ve done with their lives. We make an earnest effort to be supportive of one another here and help each other grow through the ranks until the final goal of becoming a black belt. Without a doubt, the best thing we have going for us here is the community. You won’t find anyone here who won’t point out another teammate as being a big reason they were able to ascend to the next rank and help their overall progress. Without further adieu…
